How it works

Nimotop primarily acts on blood vessels in the brain. Nimotop prevents vaso constriction that results in increased blood supply

Guidelines for usage

Follow the dosage instructions provided by your doctor or as mentioned in the instruction booklet/product label.

Nimotop may be used with or without food.

These effects may also get aggravated due to hot weather or fever or severe exercise. So, be cautious when you stand up after a long time from a sitting or lying position. If you feel giddy then lie down immediately and seek medical help.

Possible Drug & Food Interactions

Certain prescription drugs or health supplements or even food items are known to interact with the effects of medications. Nimotop is known to have possible interactions with the following medications. So it is strongly advisable to discuss it with your physician prior to taking Nimotop
• Conivaptan;
• Imatinib;
• Nefazodone;
• An antibiotic--clarithromycin, telithromycin;
• Antifungal medication--itraconazole, ketoconazole, posaconazole, voriconazole;
• Heart medication--nicardipine, quinidine;
• Hepatitis c medications--boceprevir, telaprevir; or
• Hiv/aids medication--atazanavir, delavirdine, fosamprenavir, indinavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir
Additional Information

Nimotop may also cause serious effects on the stomach or intestines, including bleeding or perforation (forming of a hole). These conditions can be fatal and can occur without warning while you are taking ibuprofen, especially in older adults.

Excessive use of NSAID medications can cause serious damage to the stomach and intestines. Internal bleeding and even perforation may occur. These conditions are potentially fatal and can occur at any time without a warning.

If you notice symptoms like black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, then stop using Nimotop and seek emergency medical care.
